I. To bring the much needed study of the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution to the nation's law schools in order to help future legal professionals better understand what the amendment means and how it should be applied.
II. To promote legal research and scholarly works on the issue of the right to keep and bear arms.
III. To facilitate debate on Second Amendment issues within law schools. We feel it is through robust, wide open debate that the true meaning of the amendment is best shown.
